Welcome to Traveling Funeral Directors of America, we support funeral homes in need of staffing solutions. Our dedicated team allows funeral directors the ability to travel across the United States, providing compassionate care to families during their time of need. We understand the importance of being present for families in all aspects of life, and we here to help ensure that every community receives the support they deserve.

Our long term goal is to make funeral service more independent and open for all funeral directors. Many professions have found success in multi-state permits or licensing and we believe funeral service would benefit greatly from this as well. Please help us advocate to allow funeral directors to practice openly.

How it works
Our mission is to connect funeral homes and directors with desired resources. Once we receive interest from a funeral facility or funeral director, we promptly relay all necessary information to the funeral director. Once both parties agree on the terms. A contract is signed and the funeral director will then provide the requested services for the duration specified, in exchange for compensation. We facilitate respectful and efficient collaborations in the funeral industry.

Attach all current licenses to your profile. Along with a detailed description of your funeral service experience.

Funeral directors please provide us the areas or states you would like to practice in.

Funeral Homes please provide us with the specific duration and position you are seeking assistance.

We will communicate all information via email provided to both parties once we have a possible match based on the requests.

Details will be exchanged and if both parties are in agreement to terms.

The funeral facility will be asked to pay administrative fees. Along with a small percentage based on overall payment.

Once paid, a contract will be presented to both parties.

Returned and signed.

Both parties will be informed of the active contracts and the funeral director will be responsible to provide services effectively at the start date agreed upon.
* Lodging and travel expenses are at the expense of the funeral director unless funeral facility has other additions to the contract.
* Based on Federal and State licensing requirements we operate on a state by state bases. Reciprocity is eligible based on information provided and licensing received by parties.
